CALL CENTER EMPLOYEE SERVICES

Call center managers in the Greater Fresno Region are working collaboratively to develop services that benefit their call center employees. After much consideration, area call center managers determined that extended-hour childcare and transportation were among the most critical services their employees required. Fresno call center leaders and managers are now working together to help ensure access to childcare and transportation services when, where and how their employees need them.

Transportation Services. With help from the City of Fresno’s transportation department, industry leaders are working on vanpool programs to provide transportation for employees who might not be able to get to work or those who simply prefer to save money by vanpooling. If you work for a local call center and are interested in vanpooling, ask your manager if your employer offers this benefit. If your employer does not, encourage your manager to check out this Website and become a participating call center.

Extended-Hour Daycare Services. In partnership with the Regional Jobs Initiative, call center industry leaders are working to find daycare providers that are willing to extend hours and days of operation to meet the unique work schedules of call center employees.

Educational Programs. Call center leaders are exploring ways to bring educational programs designed for call center managers and employees to Fresno rather than sending staff to sessions in the Bay Area or Southern California.
